In this video, Dr. Jay Maddock discusses how doctors are increasingly “prescribing nature,” by instructing patients to get outside and exercise. Maddock says researchers have long known the benefits of physical activity but are now discovering more about how being in nature improves moods and changes immune function and mental health utilization.
Dr. Sadeer Al-Kindi discusses how environmental factors like air pollution and climate change can negatively impact cardiovascular health. It will also focus on the impact of cardiovascular care on planetary health. Dual focus on human and planetary health will improve public health.
